Biography
Robert was born on August 17th, 1943, in New York. He was known by the name of Bobby Milk because in his childhood days, he had a pale skin. He wanted to become one of the greatest actors and to realize his dream, he got involved in the Stella Adler Conservatory and the American Workshop.

In 1973, he did his first film Bang the Drum Slowly, where he portrayed the role of Bruce Pearson. Thereafter, he played the aggressive character of Johnny Boy in Mean Streets. In 1974, he won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his praiseworthy acting in the movie, The Godfather: Part II.

 In 1976, Robert played the role of Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver and won the Academy Award for best actor. During this award winning event, he was besotted by the charm of Diahnne Abbott and later they got married. Unfortunately, in the year of 1988, he officially snapped ties with her. However, he conjured up enough passion to persist with his acting career and did some more flicks such as Raging Bull (1982), The King of Comedy (1984) and Goodfellas (1990). All these were shortlisted for the BAFTA Awards.
